Michael Garval is Associate Professor of French and the CHASS Director of the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) program.  

Garval’s book “A Dream of Stone” focuses on his research interests of literary celebrity in French culture and the development of the monumental ideal of the writer.
