After a 17 year hiatus, storytelling virtuoso Jill McCorkle has published her sixth novel, “Life After Life.” McCorkle, a professor in NC State’s Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program, says that the novel was "a long time coming."

On Friday, March 15, CHASS hosted the college’s annual Dean for a Day event. This year, Dean Jeff Braden switched places with Andriy Shymonyak, a Park Scholar double major in History and Political Science.
The college diet portrayed by popular culture consists of ramen noodles, hopes and dreams. Thanks to NC State’s new food pantry, Feed the Pack, much more nutritious food is now available to the NC State community.
Author and economist Luigi Zingales will give the 2013 John W. Pope Lecture at NC State University at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3. A prolific contributor to the academic literature of economics and finance, Zingales also writes for broader audiences. His lecture will be based on his 2012 book, “A Capitalism for the People: Recapturing the Lost Genius of American Prosperity,” in which he applauds America’s personal freedoms and economic achievements, but warns of developing problems.
Inspired by a childhood abroad, Professor of English Dr. Elaine Orr is publishing her first novel, "A Different Sun."
