When pre-medical student Lianne Gonsalves (International Studies and Biological Sciences, ’10) ventured into Humanities and Social Sciences her freshman year, she fell in love and decided to stay. In the college, Gonsalves saw innumerable opportunities to explore the world through the International Studies program’s various study abroad offerings.
She has worked as an intern for the State Department and has completed independent studies to satisfy her interests in international affairs. Gonsalves taught English as a Fulbright Teaching Assistant in 2010, and hopes to continue combining her love for health and international studies through studies in public health at Johns Hopkins University.
