2013 Dean for a Day Contest Underway

 |

On February 22, 2013, you could be Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Trade spaces—just for a day—with Dean Jeff Braden.

Here’s how:

  • Make sure you’re available to be dean on February 22, and that you have at least two classes that day.
  • In 250 words or less, tell us why you should be dean for a day … and why the dean should experience your day.
  • Send your reasons to DeanForADay@ncsu.edu. Include your name, class year, major(s), email address, and phone number.
  • Deadline to apply: November 30, 2012.

All CHASS majors are welcome to apply. Essays are juried by CHASS student ambassadors.

Read last year’s Dean for a Day Diaries. And picture yourself as CHASS dean for a day!

  1. Does an independent study count as a class? Otherwise, I only have one class that Friday.

    1. Lauren Kirkpatrick says:

No, unfortunately, an independent study won’t work as one of the classes the dean could attend as “student for a day.”
