Alum Blogs About Placemaking

 |

Alumna Kristin Jeffers (Communication ’07), author of The Black Urbanist blog.

“I see benefits in all types of land use (as well as drawbacks). I love buildings. I love people. I love cars, trains, planes and buses. All in equal measure.” – An excerpt from the second anniversary of Kristin Jeffers’ blog, The Black Urbanist.

For Kristin Jeffers (Communication’07), writing about her passion for cities and communities let her share her passion for urban planning, and to develop those thoughts on a platform for community involvement and action. Jeffers started her blog, The Black Urbanist, in 2010 to relay her ideas about urban planning, or as she calls it, placemaking.
