Celebrating Our College Staff

Anthony Bennett, Crissy Williams, Hope Ziglar and Claudia Kearney were recognized at the 2019 College Staff Awards event.

The college held an event in April to recognize and celebrate its staff.

“Each member of our staff is vital to the success of our students, our faculty, administrators like myself, our college and the university as a whole,” Dean Jeff Braden told the gathering. “It is an absolute privilege to work alongside you throughout the year. You are creative problem solvers, outstanding planners, brilliant strategists. You think and do, and you do it with great professionalism. On behalf of all the faculty and administrators at NC State, I thank you.”

Four staff members were nominated by their peers or supervisors for Awards for Excellence.

The college’s 2019 nominees were Anthony Bennett, Social Work; Claudia Kearney, Center for Family and Community Engagement; Crissy Williams, dean’s executive assistant; and Hope Ziglar, academic affairs.

The two staff members who received the college’s Award for Excellence were Anthony Bennett and Crissy Williams. Other nominees received Pride of the WolfPack certificates that recognize NC State employees for special and unique contributions.

Winners from each of the university’s colleges will be recognized at the NC State University Awards for Excellence ceremony. Five individuals will receive special distinction at that event and go forward for consideration for the Governor’s Awards for Excellence, the highest honor awarded to a state employee.
