Event Navigation

Directed by NC State alumnus David Hambridge (Film Studies ’09), Kifaru is a feature-length documentary that follows the lives of two young Kenyan recruits who protect and care for Sudan, the last male northern white rhinoceros in the world. Spanning the course of their first four years on the job, Kifaru allows viewers to experience the joys and pitfalls of wildlife conservation firsthand through the eyes of these caretakers who witness extinction happening in real-time.

Hambridge and film studies professor Marsha Gordon will also conduct a question-and-answer discussion with the audience.

The screening is free and open to the public, but please register here.

This event is part of the Global Film Series and is co-sponsored by the college’s Film Studies program, the NCSU Libraries and the Office of Global Engagement.
